Always stay on your toes with knees slightly bent. Keep your hands up and ready. This helps you react quickly to any shot!
Keep your eyes on the ball at ALL times, not the player. Track it from the striker's foot all the way into your hands.
Talk to your defenders! Shout "keeper!" when coming for the ball, and direct your wall during free kicks. Be loud and clear!
Cut down angles by coming off your line. The closer you are to the striker, the less goal they can see. But don't go too far!
If you can catch it, catch it! Punching or parrying should be your second choice. A clean catch stops the danger completely.
You might not touch the ball for 10 minutes, then suddenly face a one-on-one. Stay mentally in the game even when play is far away!
